CARBONDALE, Colo. — September 1, 2026 — Ciel Senior Living, a national senior living operator and developer focused on delivering exceptional resident experiences and operational excellence, is pleased to announce that it has assumed management of Sopris Lodge at Carbondale, an established senior living community located in the heart of Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley.
Effective September 1, the community will operate as Sopris Lodge, A Ciel Senior Living Community, under the management of Ciel Senior Living.
The addition of Sopris Lodge marks Ciel Senior Living’s sixth community under management in Colorado and expands the company’s national portfolio to more than 3,000 senior living units under management in 11 states. The milestone reflects Ciel’s continued strategic growth and deepening presence in Colorado, an increasingly important market within the company’s national platform.
Located at 295 Rio Grande Avenue in Carbondale, Sopris Lodge offers independent living, assisted living and memory care within an intimate, thoughtfully designed setting surrounded by the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Ideally situated between Aspen and Glenwood Springs and just a short walk from downtown Carbondale, the community offers residents a distinctive combination of mountain living, local connection and personalized support.
Ciel’s approach to the transition will center on honoring the character and established identity of Sopris Lodge while introducing the resources, expertise and support of Ciel’s broader operating platform. The company will work closely with community leadership and team members to ensure continuity for residents and families while identifying opportunities to further elevate the resident, family and associate experience.
